A creative approach to workplace training.

When training is heavy, it’s harder to engage.
Anti-oppression work is serious. The way we teach it doesn’t have to be. We cultivate a learning environment that is friendly, approachable, lively and most of all, non-judgmental!

We want people to stretch, not break.
When needed, we skillfully use humour to discharge the heaviness and make room for learning. It’s proven to be an effective way in that makes challenging content feel accessible.

Our unique approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and people-focused.

Partners not competitors.

We’re not the only ones out here doing this work.
We’re not even the only ones doing it well! There are lots of great organizations providing workplace training and everyone has a different approach.

We want you to find the right provider for you.
The right provider suits your learning style, grabs and holds the attention of your employees, and compliments the work you’re already doing.

This is why we offer complimentary Training Demos.
Our live demos provide a short sample of what our workshops are like. They give you a feel for our approach, for how we make things interactive, how we build safety and engagement, and a taste of how we construct our content.

When we share a collective goal, there’s no competition, only partnership.

Doing equity work equitably.

We believe in practicing what we teach.
To make our work equitable and accessible, Harmony@Work donates training and offers sliding scale pricing for charities, nonprofits and small organizations with limited budgets.

One-price-fits-all doesn’t work when you’re doing business equitably.

Our mission.

Our mission is to empower and equip individuals and organizations to build inclusive, respectful, and thriving environments where everyone can succeed and contribute meaningfully.

Our vision.

To create a world where all people have access to what they need in order to thrive.

Our values.

Change is possible.
We fundamentally believe that when given the right information, tools & learning, people can change themselves and the world.

Compassion is the key to learning.
When learning is weighed down by shame, guilt, and judgement, it can become too heavy for people to carry with them and apply to their lives.

When we teach with compassion and understanding, it creates a safe space for people to listen, engage, self-reflect, and ultimately to commit to on-going anti-oppression work.

Systems are the problem.
People are the answer.

We believe that good people with the right intentions operating within harmful systems, can develop harmful values and often enact harmful behaviour.

We believe that by shifting those values towards equity, inclusion and collective wellbeing, people will change their behaviour and the systems.

Anti-oppression is the foundation.
Anti-oppression is the foundation on which we build diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities. Anti-oppression must be at the core of everything we do.

We must always centre the most marginalized.
Anti-oppression work must begin with those who are the most marginalized. It must centre those with the greatest need and the least power, who are the most vulnerable to systems of oppression.
